I have a 2000 XK8. I held the Auto and Recirc buttons in, then turned the key to position II. I got a code of 14. I pressed the Auto a 2nd time but didn't get a second number other than 14 in the display window.

I then pressed the recirc button and got a 20. Not sure if that is a valid number by pressing that button or not. Pressing the Auto button again returned a 14 again.

Can someone tell me what these code numbers mean?

 

14 is: Water temperature Input malfunction

20 is :
Center vent open
Foot closed
Defrost closed
Cool Air bypass closed
Fresh/Recirc fresh
compressor off
water valve closed
water pump off

20 is apparently status ( my guess)
