Default C'mon, cooler weather!

You may be wishing the opposite as fall sets in, but this is what we're chanting in Texas these days. Especially those of us who still have heater hoses under their superchargers to replace in cooler garages before they can feel comfortable driving their XKRs again for the first time in 2 months.

Amen. That is a big ditto here from someone who has a radiator replacement project staring at him.

My wife actually gave a woohoo when she read it was going to be low 90's this weekend.

I almost mentioned you as someone who would understand! So your leak went beyond that upper hose? I think you'll be pleased to see how easy the radiator on these comes out. Just wear gloves- the OE unit's shroud at least is somewhat raw fiberglass.

Forecast is actually looking decent starting Friday! No more 100*F days this year, finally. My wife did a woohoo too.

I am looking at pulling my radiator soon, so any advice would be appreciated when you have done yours. Sadly here the weather is getting hotter as summer approaches, 90f last week and only just gone onto spring. I need to do the work before the heat gets turned up.

No way, let it get warmer, we had our first frost of the year here this morning, time to clear out the garage again and get both soft tops under cover at night.

No, No! Now is the time to get the top down and cruise around in the balmy sunshine.

Isn't that what we normally do all year round?

48 degrees here this morning when I left for my six-mile early-morning hike at 6:30 am. By far the best hike since late March as a result. Autumn is indeed approaching and I always look forward to it like a schoolkid looks forward to summer vacation....

We had a great little trip in my wife's XK8 to eat breakfast last Saturday morning at a favorite little restaurant in a small town about 40 miles from our home. Lots of two-lane open road driving through the fields-and-farmland countryside. 54 degrees when we left the house, top down, and her wrapped up in a blanket with me loving the cool air whooshing through the cabin. 62 degrees for the trip home, top still down, and her very comfortable while I was starting to sweat....

Bring on October!

Jon - I can relate - didn't check temp at 5am this morning but dropped top none-the-less for a brisk ride into work. But the top is down for most of the year here anyway.

Steve it was 59 in Newberry this morning. The knock sensor will be here Monday, and I am ready for a nice cool ride.

A blanket for one's lady friend(s) is an essential component of cabriolet kit

About the same here in Hickory! It was actually too cold to put top down on the way to work! And I like any chance to use my remote top!!

+1 on the blanket, or you can step it up a notch Northern tool has 12 volt electric blanket. When the wife is happy well you know the rest of the story! Steve let me finish a few honey do's. Hard wood floors this weekend, cabinets and appliances, tile, try to hunt a little and replace the front bushing.
