condensation in headlight

Cool condensation in headlight

hello forum, cars back from bodyshop... did a good job..... question... i have some condensation build up in my headlight any way to get rid of it... looks like it rained in there.....................

thanks jag#4 will check it out ... lot of moisture on the passenger side.........looks alot better when both headlights are nice and clear... had work done on car , after they detailed it , it came back with all this moisture ? thanks again tony

As Mike says, condensation on the inside of the glass is a regular issue. It can be minimised but there is no complete solution to the problem.

From your description, it sounds like it could be more than that condensation and the bodyshop may have been over zealous with their final cleaning? If so and there is water inside the headlight(s), be careful how you dry it. The silver coating inside the headlight shells is easily damaged and flakes off.

I just open the plastic lid on top of the light unit, put a hairdryer in it for abt 10 mins and problem's gone; Just fresh air will do

left the plastic cover under the hood open and it seemed to do the trick.... so far the moisture is gone............ thanks again everybody..tony

Just remember Tony, that without the cover you could get all sorts of crap in there.

Worth keeping an eye on it.
