Prob a stupid question but can you put scautch guard on a convert top?

I assume you mean Scotch Guard? Sure, but why not use a better product that is designed for this particular application? Many like 303 (including me), and many like RaggTop....

our these things avail at any car parts place? I assume I clean off the cop with just water then apply? I have a 1995 Trans Am with with 37k, the top is very very nice and wanted to treat it somehow and also do the Jag.

Sunbrella 303 fabric guard. I'm not sure where you can find it, I got it online. It's great stuff.

I purchase my 303 protectant in 32-ounce spray bottles at the local Water World boating supply store....

I've used Raggtop, worked great. Available at auto parts stores. make sure you get both the cleaner and the protectant.

tip: Saran Wrap is excellent for masking off the paint and glass. Works much better than tape and newspaper.

Amazon sells 303 Protectant and RaggTopp.
