Default torx-bolts: unforeseen prob with ABS-module repair

Hello to all!

ATM im repairing the ABS-module of my 2000er XKR. As suspected, it is the common known broken-soldering prob, will be fixed in a few moments.

But the mounting-bolts for the modul are doing me headaches. These are M4x50 "outring" torx with an E5 head - and totally rotten. Does anybody know from where to get those parts? Or, maybe the correct english ( or german) term for these parts?

Thanks in advance & have a nice weekend

Wolf

I don't think carriage bolts are going to help as the heads are smooth and can't be tightened, besides which Lowe's is a long way from Germany.

Neatcat, you may have more luck finding socket head screws which can be tightened with a hex key, also called allen wrench here.

Thanks for your Help, but the challenge is to find bolts with a flat underside of the head ( sorry, don't know how to express better ) AND with a very small diameter. I'll try to get some type of allen-head screw and test it out.

BTW: The T-Head bolts for the trunk-handle were only reachable by alieexpress from china, so no prob to import from the US, if you have a supplier :-)

Have a nice WE

I believe you could use a standard bolt with a small washer to duplicate the flat underside.

The NEW ABS modules are sold/included WITH new bolts. I probably have a few dozen good used bolts but shipping to Europe would take a long time.

Maybe some long allen/socket head bolts will work???

Hi Bob!

For the moment I solved it by using 3 Allen-Head parts and one of the not so bad torx-bolts, but it is clearly visible, that these parts are not the original (and maybe the german TÜV could ring needless bells...).

I would really appreciate, if there could be a possibility to get a set of these bolts from you. Could you please make me an offer? Time is not the problem for now, as there is some other work to be done (mainly de-rusting and a loth fuel-pump) on the car in the next weeks.

Greetings!
