I just bought an "early" version of the pump (spec through '99 I believe) on EBay, just because it seemed too cheap not to.

I thought I remembered that this pump had solenoid connectors different from the later pump, and the markings on them are different, but at first glance they look physically identical. In fact, there does not seem to be any external difference between this pump and the later model, spec MY '00 and later

Has anyone ever replaced a later model pump with an early one, or vice versa?


[edit] After some more research, it looks to me like a pump from any MY will fit any other MY. There were several different part numbers as the pump design no doubt went through improvements, but it looks like all are interchangeable.

If anyone has info to the contrary, please let us know.
