Default Correct Bilstein replacement shock for front?

Hello guys,

I'm going to be replacing my front shocks and mounts, and also installing the Mina front lowering springs (already have them on the rear).

It's going to be a couple of weeks before I can remove the old shocks for comparison, and I'm looking for confirmation that I have the correct Bilstein replacement shocks on hand (for the front only, non-CATS).

Here is the part number for the new shocks I've received:

Here's a look at the full unit:

And here's a look at the small ridge on these shocks...this ridge looks quite small to hold the lower spring pan in place, with all of that pressure...is this correct?

Tell me what you know! Thanks!

Yes, correct is BE5 6727H0, but BE5 6726H0 works also and I do not know the difference.

For the XK8, the front shock numbers are F4-BE5-6726-H0 (24-067263).

The rear shocks are F4-BE5-6727-H0 (24-067270).

Do you know which shock is the stiffer? And can either one be used on the front?

Thanks.

You have to ask randyb where he got his info, but according to Bilstein, the two are NOT interchangeable. Both have the same stiffness, because one is the front and one is the rear and both are the BE5 series. Try Googling "Bilstein".
