Curve in the front coil spring.
Being a WHY kind of guy, I'm a little bit annoyed after installing new mounts, bellows, bump stop and shocks. The spring has a slight curve on one side.
After taking things apart with a VEVOR strut compressor, (easier than rods for that part) but installed with rod spring compressors for controlled release.
I ended up with both springs having a bit of sideways bulge.
I do remember on a longer spring having this happen but not on these Jaguar one.
Couple of things I ran into. One the bellows gaiters were the same number from NAPA) but were of different materials, they installed by stretching the rubber around the bottom part of the bell, fine, but one was rubber flexible and the other a more of a PVC, which needed heating to get around there. Same number.
I do like the way it covered the stem for a dust cover.
Just a word to the wise of things that go wrong with this little simple job.
