Daily Driver or Week-ender
I'm just curious has the forum ever taken a poll on how many are daily drivers and how many are week-end pleasure cars? I personally use my 99 as a daily driver, and am hoping I'm not crazy for it!
My XKR and my Corvette are summer cars, meaning they are driven whenever I feel like it in the summer; even in the rain. In the winter, I drive my old 740i around exclusively.
So one of the daily drivers in the summer, not in the winter.

I would call it a three season daily driver similar to 80sRule. Except when it's snowing, or I need to haul something, I drive the Jag. Wintertime or if I need more space or if I need 4x4 ability, I drive a Jeep Cherokee.

I like to drive it daily, but have to share it with wife and also taking care of the house makes me drive our Isuzu i370 about 80% of the time.
Honestly I was surprised how daily drive friendly this car is, I was expecting enthusiast car and received Civic Coupe on major steroids

When I bought the XKR, last year, I expected it to be a weekend kind of fun car, with my Buick Enclave doing work duty as I often carry around a lot of stuff. But I was filling the tank of my Enclave nearly every day, and I really wasn't carrying as much as I used to, so that I didn't need to haul it around as much as I thought. The XKR got at least 50% better gas mileage than the SUV, the sun is out 355 days a year in Los Angeles, and it has become my daily driver. Who knew I would be buying an XKR as an economy car?
