MicroCloths are designed to be non scratch. But the dust that’s on the lenses is 99% quartz; it will scratch if wiped across the lens regardless of the type of cloth used.
It’s best to first blow off the majority of the dust with an aerosol can of computer compressed air. Then wipe with a dampened cloth.
