Going to be doing the swap from sat/nav to the 3 gauge cluster. As others here have recommended it comes out much better if you change all 3 of the dash panels. Mostly due to differences in color and consistency of the wood grain. I've seen quite a few decent sets on Ebay which is more than likely where I'll source them from.

Question is: Are there differences in panels throughout the years? Are they all interchangeable?

I've noticed some sellers say 97 thru 06. Others say 03 thru 06 or some other designation. What's the deal?

The difference is that the later years include a chrome trim ring around the gauges which adds to the esthetics. I believe all years should fit without a problem.

 

Correct, they are all interchangeable. The chrome gauge trim rings started in '03, but they are also available from a few aftermarket sources to retrofit the older panels.
