Hi All, I'm now to the forum.....
I wondered if someone could help with identification of my XK8 2003 dashboard veneer colour....
The dashboard is a dark green veneer and I can't find the correct description anywhere. Very frustrating

I believe some cars had elm for the panels. Kinda green.

Green? Not seen that yet. Looking forward to details, just from idle curiosity.

A few years ago when I was looking for a replacement dash veneer set for my 2005 XK8, Eurojag in Darlington were breaking one fitted with a green veneer. They hadn't seen green veneer before and I've never seen another since so it must be extremely rare.

I can't find any reference to it in the Parts Catalogue.

Hi Phil and all other people on this thread. I have just purchased a 2004 XK8 premium with the same green dash, I have to say it's beautiful. Quite rare, I have seen this in 1 other whilst looking at XK8s, and also in 2 X types. Very frustrating trying to identify the colour on parts listings. It would be nice to know what it is but, rest assured it is genuine.

 

Maybe i´m wrong,
this was formerly dark birdseye maple, time (an sun) changed it in to green.
Jaguar replaced them under warranty.

 

Ci have a Seafoam Green car and would be more than happy to trade for the green wood!

 

No it doesn't look like that at all, there is no fading around the edges. I will upload some photos in due course.

Shift knob is not faded.
I like that greenish wood,
looks like purpose-built.
