I am a little confused, I don't think they come with DRLs? So what lights are you trying to get to work?

Someone used the trick of taping over the sensor on the automatic headlights and ... the lights stay on whenever the car is on. Passed the inspection. Then he took the tape off and no more DRL.

It might work for you on your car.

The normal way is to have the dealer on the US end turn on DRL because they don't mind turning them on. Your dealer can turn them on, but they resent imports and may charge out the ying yang for the privilege.

That's a neat trick. Where is the sensor located?

For your particular car ... no idea. But, it could be the back of the mirror. It will be in the downloadable electrical diagrams for sure in the component locations section.

edit: the original information was posted on this site, so a search might locate the right thread.

I have no idea myself for your model, but post the same question in the 2007+ XKR section and perhaps they'll know more

2007+ XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

(or a mod move the thread?)

It is a 5 minute job but must be done by the dealer reprogramming this feature on. They charged me an hour labour. I needed to provide proof of this to pass the federal inspection so the tape trick may not be the ticket depending on how thorough your inspector is.
