Dead 2000 XK8
My 2000 xk8 is dead in the barn. I haven't driven it in 10 days or more. The trunk won't open. Can't find trunk keyhole (if there is one), the jump to the positive side of curcuit & grounded did not give any power at all. Can't get the car out of park to move it outside the barn or have it towed. What is the secret to getting the car out of park when it is dead? What is the secret to getting in the trunk?

You can open the trunk manually by inserting the key in the slot between the "X" and the "K" in the rear XK8 emblem.
You can also apply power to the car by connecting a Battery Charger under the hood as shown:
You CAN NOT Jump Start the car using this connection, but you can get power to the car that will allow you to use the Key in the Ignition Switch to open the Trunk or get the Gear Shift out of Park.
