When removing the center console in my '00 Xkr coupe I saw two connectors that seems to be of no use. Are they meant to be used for some option my car lacks? Or for convertibles only?
I have the basic music system and no phone and have the 3 gauge set up in the dash. So I’m guessing the white connector is for the premium amp or Sat Nav. The other connector could be for a phone..... maybe... as I don’t have any of these these. The phone would have been in the arm rest and the other 2 boxes (Music Amp and Sat Nav) would have been located at the rack in the trunk.
The connectors are located just beneath where the phone would be so it seems to be logical. Thanks! Good to know what is is. Original phone options I will most likely never retrofit. Working on my own infotainment system based on a Raspberry pi (british product of course, for a british car). A little teaser below
