Just for giggles I visited the Portland OR Jag dealer and was quoted a price from the parts department of $1,100. for the passenger seat control computer module. Yikes!!!!

I then visited the local ford dealer to see if they listed the part since it does say Ford right on the module and I understand that it is used in the Lincolin. They could not identify my part number and had no cross reference.

I think I have a defective resistor in my board, the one close to the bottom edge.

I see auto parts warehouse has them for $365 and a off market brand for about $206.

I will continue to search for a better price.

But the dealer markup has me stumped!! Quite excessive, I believe.

I wonder what the price would be for the engine control module??? I bet close to 5K.

 

Some time ago there was a thread where someone discussed getting a seat computer module for as little as $80. I have searched and have not been able to find that thread/post. Anyone know the source of the $80 part??
