Default Detroit Area?

Howdy Folks.

Just wondering if there is anyone in the South Detroit area who could take a quick look at a speciman there for me? Preferably someone who has had a little experience with XK shopping.

Let me know!

Thanks

Fedora

How can I help. I am in the Grosse Ile, MI about 25 minutes south of the city. I recently purchased a 2001 XKR Coupe in Oct. '08.

There's a 2002 XKR in Canton for an acceptable price. I've e-mailed the owner to find out if it's still available. If it is, it would be super swell if you could take the time to take a quick jaunt around the mess that is your airport to check it out (and even take it for a spin) and let me know whether I should make the border run to buy it or forget it.

Thanks

Fedora

OK, set it up and I will visit the owner to inspect the car. Send me an email with purchase details, amount, address etc. I can't do it this weekend, but the following Saturday Sept 19 I can be available. I'll take pictures and forward to you as well.

This doesn't happen much, but when it does, I get warm fuzzies. Cheers John!

Dude's name is Ray and he's available for a visitor anytime before 6 during the week. Address is 44330 Duchess Dr, Canton, Mi.

John (stremsjg) will be taking a look for me on the 19th, but if anyone can make it before then, that'd be cool too. Thanks John!

I asked the owner these questions, his answers are in red.

How many miles are on it? 110 000
Have you had the timing chain tensioners replaced? If so, when? No.
Have you had the brakes pads and/or rotors replaced? If so, when? No.
What colour is the interior? Light Beige
Do you have the service records available for it? No.
Have you made any modifications or any repairs? No.
Do you have any additional pictures of it? Maybe the interior, engine, underside? Too lazy to get pictures.

Radiator flush? Twice?

Overheating? . . . . BAD !

'02's assembled after August '01 probably have the metal tensioners and do not need to be replaced.
