Default Different valve covers

I was replacing the spark plugs on a newly acquired ‘99 XK8. I notice the valve cover on the left hand side (driver US) only had one provision to mount the coil to the cover. Also, on the passenger side the mounts for the coil cover are flush, while on the driver’s side they stand proud of the surface about 1/4”.

Is it supposed to be that way?

The S-Type cam covers have the raised brass inserts.
Can't remember any other models.

My 97 XK is not like that. Definitely two bolts per coil pack and no raised inserts.

Thanks for the advice. I’m not sure it matters much, but I ordered the correct replacement from eBay this morning. The other, right side valve cover is leaking, but the incorrect one isn’t.
