I followed the procedure referenced at http://jagrepair.com/images/AutoRepa...lacement-2.pdf to attempt to remove the passenger side rear window regulator, however I simply can't get the regulator to fit through the opening.

I loosened the convertible top bracket as mentioned, however the mechanism is still getting jammed up on the bracket (see photo A).

The other points of interference are where the tray for the window rubs against the body panel (photo B) and where the motor assembly rubs against the clear plastic water shedder covering the metal panel (photo C).

Surely there must be some way of removing this assembly? What am I doing wrong?

update: apparently the regulator can only be removed if the window is in the up position; mine was stuck halfway down. I first removed the window from the regulator, then disassembled the regulator and removed the pieces.
