I recently changed my main instrument cluster and the "Supercharged" letters on the NEW tachometer does NOT light up with the head lights on.



All of you out there with a Jaguar 2000 XKR Supercharged Convertible please check your car and tell me if this is so. My guess is that it should light up as the RPM and X1000 letters do!

Hi, I just went and checked my 2001 XKR for you and...
it appear the "supercharged" name is silk screened on and does NOT light up. The X1000 just above the name "supercharged" DOES light up.
Hope this helps, it would appear your new Main Instrument Panel does what it should be doing.

So the day picture has 70,000 on the clock and the night picture has 80,000.

That must have been one seriously fast day of driving!

 

LOL! - . A couple of years ago by chance I happened to get in the car and saw I was on 70k and for some reason took a pic. Coming home from poker the other night I pulled up at a set of lights and noticed I was on 80k, so I took another pic

I remember a thread a couple of years ago where a similar pic was put up and the OCD amongst us went nuts - so I thought I'd drive them really nuts with this!
