I just purchased through e-bay from a car wrecker in the US an used ''In door control switch'' for windows and mirrors.
I was a little puzzled by buying this type of product when I understand all the problems owners have with these but I gave it a try but it turned out to be disaster as only mirrors could be adjusted outwards and only that. No window control at all Not sure if I can get anything back from this guy but I'll try. (with shipping and VAT into Norway it was like 80 Euro)

So anyone has a proven used contoll switch for sale? It is a LH drive but I think it is the same switch as on RH cars.

I can buy a new unit on e-bay for like 175 £

Maybe try squirting copious amounts of contact cleaner into the switch body and leaving it for a while, then repeatedly click the switches on and off like a lunatic to see if that fixes the problem?

Nothing to lose if the part is non working anyway.

 

What led you to replace the part in the first place? Was it the same symptoms?

 

It was that the mirrors could not be adjusted, only one way outwards was possible not up and down or back inwards. The Car wrecker in the US sendt me a full refound of $43.75 so I'm very happy with that and in the same time I ordered from Brittish Part a new unit for £133,- ink shipping so that is in fact OK.

I fancy that all the el. things work and now it is only the passenger reckliner/back that is stuck that is left to fix.
Eiter it is the motor, or bad connection in the wire harness, or the seat ECU. I can swap with the driverside just to eliminate the ECU but no rush :-)

Remember to perform a HARD RESET when replacing some switches and modules.
