I have a problem with my 53 s type 2.5 the windows will not work and the key fob will not operate. I had another s type and swapped both switches and control module and they both worked perfectly but put them back into my car and nothing. The memory light on the window switch comes on and the drivers door mirror adjusts so there is power to the switch. Any ideas

 

Welcome to the forum Maz3246. I assume yours is an x202.
Try leaving the original module in and just replacing the window switch and the loom it connects to from the donor car.
My switch operated the mirror fold and memory but had all but stopped working the windows.
I changed the loom and the window switch and back to normal.
I suspect in my case the issues was a worn window switch board. The wreckers just gave me the whole door for the same price as the switch as they were sadly crushing a very nice condition x204 V6 that had been hit in the rear. And since I had the whole door I decided to change over the loom just in case.

 

Do the windows work from the other door switches?

 

Did you perform a HARD RESET? (battery disconnect)
