Default Double oil leak

Had an oil leak while driving, stopped car due to smell and large puddle of oil on the road. Still some on the dip stick and no damage done to engine.
Recovered to the dealers. I asked them to find n fix the leak and since it was with them, do an 80k service...car has done 77k miles.
The fault was a failed pipe to the oil cooler which they fixed. They did the service but after road testing the car they found oil on a plate? Under the engine. They can't see where it's coming from so they've cleaned it and are leaving it overnight to dry and going to start the engine in the morning to take a look.

My question...... What are the chances of two leaks? And could they have done something wrong during the service?

Just want some ammo in case they caused it. Will let you know the outcome but would appreciate thoughts.

It's a 2005MY XKR Coupe.
Thanks.

I would think it was oil left over from all that spilled out during that massive leak. If they didnt tighten something correctly, they will find it and tighten it correctly now. I wouldn't be to worried. I think you would hae noticed a standard oil leek on your garage floor.

I thought residual oil from original leak but they cleaned it up and drove it again only to find more oil.
I hope to find out in the morning about the cause, I'm actually dreading it !

yup, I've had the oil cooler pipe rupture too...not fun. I've noticed that my oil filter sometimes leaks too...even the Jag filters I buy. Make sure it hasn't unscrewed, or better yet, just get an oil change and replace the filter, in case the gasket or face isn't true.

Well the dealers reckon that the oil is old oil from the leak. I hope they are right!
The belts had to be replaced and the supercharger belt has been upgraded due to squealing ... So new pulleys needed too. But glad to have my baby home.

That sounds reasonable as a ruptured cooler pipe sprays oil all over the place.

For your peace of mind, presumably the dealer is backing this diagnosis with some form of guarantee?

For peace of mind, check your oil level daily for the next week or so. If the level does not change, then it is old oil from the original leak.

Yes, thanks will be keeping an eye on the oil level.
Bummer about having to have new supercharger belt and pulleys.
