hey, sorry to bother. i noticed mickey thompson makes a drag tire called the et street ss. it comes in 275/40/17 and 305/45/17 255/60/15the wheels i really want to fit are american racing mono cast black. 17x9 5x120.65
and 15x8 5x120.65. you think one of these combos could work? i know itl look different. theres an ls swapped xk8 with drag tires on youtube. it looks great. thanks for the help this is a 2005 xk8 with 19" atlas wheels. rides rough.

 

Not sure anything smaller than 17 or maybe a 16 will clear the brakes and suspension.

 

Yeah, based on my car (which has 17"s on it right now), I'm not sure anything smaller would clear the brakes.

Also FWIW, I also run 20" wheels in the summer and I find the difference in ride quality negligible. I think this might be because the tires on the 17" wheels kind of suck, as others have reported feeling a big difference.

 

found a tire from m&h thats 275/50/17. looks like a lot of folks have gone that big.
