Default Driver Airbag indicator

My air bag light is coming on....intermitantly. anyone know where to check the cause of this....sensor, wiring connections, etc. Keep in mind I do not have a computer to hook up and read the code.

Then you will never know what is causing the fault. Sometimes you can get a 'FLASH' code to determine the fault.

Here is the DTC guide

Ok, thanks for the listing. Now the next question; on the car, where is the place to plug the reader in and what kind of reading device should I get. I have a feeling it will come in handy for all sorts of things. Maybe worth the money if I buy one.

The OBD connector is just above the hood (bonnet) release. You pretty much have to get your head in the footwell to see it.

However, I don't believe a 'regular' OBDII reader will read the Air Bag (Safety Restraint System) codes - though more expensive readers will (there's a thread somewhere here with details).

However, the good news is that the light is probably flashing in a pattern (showing two digits). e.g 'Flash-Flash (gap) Flash-Flash-Flash (longer gap) is 23.

You can look these codes up (see attached) to determine where the fault is...and probably won't need to use an OBD reader (I managed to locate a bad connector this way)

Good luck,
-Steve

just a suggestion, go under the drivers and passenger seats and unplug and replug in the two connectins under each seat. Give it a try, and see if the light goes out. It did for me.
