Default Driver Intervene Warning

Hi folks, I appreciate the great help on replacing the fuel pump and now have a running 2003 XKR. YAY!! What a car! I'm now getting an annoying "Driver Intervene" warning popping up when driving around town. Happens about 25% of the time when breaking for a light. I got up on the highway and tested the ACC which worked well. The manual says the warning comes on when the ACC is on and mine is coming on around town without the ACC on. The previous owner had a new cruise control module installed in Jan of '19 and there are less than 500 miles since then. Total mileage on the car is 36,000.

I've moved your question from X150 to X100 forum.

My 2012 Hyundai Genesis started giving warnings for a front obstacle every time I slowed to a stop, regardless that there was nothing ahead of me. Dealers will automatically want to replace all front sensors, but, short of bumper-stealing curbs or wire-eating rodents, all you might really need to do is lightly clean or just wipe off your front bumper sensors. Anything that gets on them (bugs, mud, etc), will cause the false warning when stopping. A quick swipe and I was back in business... Let us know your resolution!

Thanks for the tip. I was informed there is a switch by the drivers knee that turns this function on and off. I had inadvertently engaged it when cleaning the car. Turned the switch off and all is right with the world again. Just getting used to a new car, I guess.

Thanks to those that know for sharing Jag knowledge.
