Default Drivers air bag light on

Several times today I started my 01 XKR and the drivers air bag light stayed on after blinking several times. The most recent start had the light go off after the initial dianostics were complete. Is this an indication of a faulty component or just a bad boot up after starting the engine

Default RE: Drivers air bag light on

Gary, i am still going threw this mess with my 00 xkr.

If it was flashing at you, it means that it has has something go wrong and has stored a error code.

The bummer is that you cannot pull that code with your standard hand held auto scanner from your auto store. you have to go to a jog dealer or a specialty jag repair shop to get them pulled.

My jag turned out that it had a bad instrument cluster pack. causing a faulty air bag code for no reason. i had to pull the instrument cluster and send it off to get repaired. i am still waiting to get it back, its driving me nuts, way to long without my car.... [&o]
