I recently removed the interior panel of the driver's door to have it reupholstered. Once reinstalled, the only control that functioned was the driver's window. The remote mirror, and passenger window no longer work . Also, the door open warning remains on and the doors won't lock. When the driver's door actually is open the passenger door open warning is also lit. All very confusing.
Before the removal of the door panel, everything functioned perfectly. Any ideas welcome.
The only items normally disconnected for a door trim panel removal are:
1. door switchpack
2. puddle lamp
The DDM (Driver's Door Module - item 2) is behind to speaker and there is no need to disconnect it.
However, only you know what you actually disconnected or removed and the way to troubleshoot the issue is to go back through the procedure again to ensure all harness connectors are positively locked.
Two other possibilties are:
1. a co-incidental DDM failure
2. damage to the harness where it enters the door frame
