Driver's Door Open Indication

Driver's Door Open Indication
Hi Guys!
I have a "Driver's Door Open" indication that won't go out. Of course, because of that the doors won't lock while driving and the window doesn't go up the extra little bit when I get in and close the door.
Sound familiar to anyone?
I can't see where the door-closed signal would come from, unless it's that rubber plug on the sill just above the the lock catch.
Thanks in advance!
Jim M.

To access the Latch/Lock Assembly, the Door panel must be removed.

Thanks Paul,
I just watched the respective videos - shouldn't be too hard a job once I get a new latch. It does seem as if the "Market" has responded to the video as well - the $10 eBay latch he bought for the video is now well over $100 used! Has anyone ever tried to replace the micro switch itself (ala Radio Shack)?
BTW: Is there a difference between pre and post '03 latches? Some of the eBay sellers are listing them as "'97 to '02". Can I use one of those?

Do yourself a favor and hold off on pulling the door apart. Take a little WD40 and spray it into the door latch mechanism and work the door a few times. Yes the door has a few micro switches and they can be replaced but not using RadioShack. I will provide a link showing the door latch and the micro switches, I will also provide a link for correct replacement switches if you need them.

Try the WD40 first many of the problem with the door latches are related to the lack of lubrication and corrosion and not a failed micro switch. However, it is possible.

Thanks!
OUTSTANDING! You guys are great. Now this is the of help "any" auto community needs for it's enthusiasts. I'll try the WD/PB starting tonight and give it a few days to take effect. I'll be back with the results. Having alternative sources for the latches and switches is a real help.
THANKS!
