Default Drivers door rattle

So after about 3 weeks of having a rattle in the driver's side door I finally decided to take the door card off and see what I could find, at first I thought the it was coming from the rear window, but after some inspection I discovered that the noise is coming from the metal plate over the lock mechanism. I'm not able to see any obvious mounting hole that'd cause it to be loose and before I tear the entire door apart I'd see if anyone has any suggestions attached are some photos of the loose plate.
I'd like to fix this ASAP as it's driving me crazy!

The Door Lock Security Shield (see item 8) - it's there to make it harder to use a Slim Jim to open the door.

It's a been a while since I had the door latch out of an XK8 and someone with more recent knowledge will know better but that looks like a fixing hole at the bottom. Is there a fixing screw missing?

I don't have a specific suggestion for your issue but while you have it apart there are a few other things you can do to make the door less clunky.

Also a little work on the window glass bumpers to restore their cushion will keep the window tight when rolled down.
