Default DYI throttle body

I have a 2001 XKR and this long weekend am going to try changing my throttle body (just bought a new one) does any one out there know a video I can watch and any problems to stay clear of

If it’s only the throttle body and not the elbow as well, then it’s a very easy job. Once you have removed the intake pipe there are:
  • two coolant hoses you have to remove
  • 1 or 2 vacuum lines
  • 3 electrical connections
  • 4 screws. I can’t recall if those are torx, 10 mm or 8 mm
  • 1 metal gasket between it and the elbow.

Removing the elbow is a lot more tedious as you have to deal with the EGR pipe, the rubber gasket sandwiched between it and the supercharger (which is quite a bear to get aligned) and the screws for that, the two charge cooler to weird Y-pipe hoses, the part load breather pipe, a couple more coolant hoses. That’s already half the work of removing the supercharger.

Make sure you don’t break any of the vacuum lines during removal. They are quick connect and you may need a tool for them.
