Impeller Wheels on E-Bay

Crap, When I bought my '97 3 weeks ago it needed tires to pass VA inspection so I bought 4 used Michelins for it last week. Still tempting to get those 18" on Fleabay to replace my 17" as they come with tires that don't look so bad.

Anyone know if you have to do anything about speedo gears or other sensors if you go up from 17" to a larger diameter wheel like these 18"? A simple swap would be great if you don't have to do some sort of electronic magic that only a Jaguar dealer can handle as they seldom do anything without an out of body experience being mandatory on your part.

I hope one of our members gets them. I remember how hard it was to source a replacement when I had them on my 2001 XK8 Coupe.

Wheel size doesn't matter...but the OVERALL diameter of the wheel and tire TOGETHER certainly matter. I sized up from 17s to 18s on my car...you just have to shop for tires with an overall diameter that matches (or is very close to) your originals.

Well, hope the tires are OK, just brought them. They will look good on my 2000. I'm sure they will have a scuff or two and will see how well balanced they are. For that price if two are bad,it's still a good deal.

It was really weird. I was on the page ready to pull the trigger and my door bell rang. Was a friend wanting me to fix her laptop. So after working on it a bit I remembered the wheels and went to bid and they were gone...

Dave, Here's the kicker, the guy just sent me a ebay message, the freight is going to be much more. No price yet!! Will see what he comes up with, I thought that less than $30 was weird

Wow, and the guy (Skid Mark) I bought my jag off of wanted 1500 USD for the set of 4..glad I declined for now.

Well it's all sorted out. The young man was very nice and was worried I was going to try and hold him to the original shipping cost. Even I knew there was no way he could get them here for that. We ended up sending him a bank check and he is shipping them out Monday. The price was at $30 a wheel, not bad, I've seen much higher.
Will let all know when I get them and how good they are.

WOW, arrived today and what a surprise. All tires are only half worn out and thread is consistent across the tires. There is some curb rash on each rim and I'm going to buy a kit that should take care of the main part. No way did I expect what arrived. Thanks for the alert "COUPE".
