Default Electrical connector to plug in transmission

I just installed rebuilt transmission for some reason I cannot get this electrical plug to plug in to the electrical connector on the transmission. I understand you have to twist it on but doesn’t seem to want to connect. What am I doing wrong??

Once the plug is lined up with the pins push in on the plug and rotate the locking ring that is on the plug. If the ring does not catch and draw the plug in you will need to adjust the lock ring and try again.

There are 3 different gearboxes fitted to the X100.
ZF5HP24, ZF6HP26 and the 722.6 Mercedes (W5A580)

I HATE mystery cars!!!!!!

Ditto Gus (Assuming you have an N/A engine. Slowly rotate the plug and you will feel it "seat" then rotate the ring with the tab clockwise to draw it the rest of the way in and "Lock" it. Take a look at some pics on Google and it will make more sense.
