Electrical Fault Message

I have a 2005 Jaguar XK8-R Convertible (originally configured without a supercharger). Frankly, I didn't know that was even possible but the steering wheel has an "R", the shifter as well, and the dash is not wood veneer but black carbonite. After replacing my battery with a new Interstate Premium MTX 49/H8 900CCA, i started my car and drove for 15 minutes or so. The car ran perfectly but then a message "Electrical Fault" appeared. The car still ran well with this message showing. I arrived home and put my OBDC2 Scanner on (Innova 5110) and all it showed was a P1000 with no additional information about the electrical fault.
I planned to drive it to my friend's place but now the car won't start! All dashboard and system check lights come on but nothing happens when I turn to start!

Two questions, 1) Is there a way to narrow the search from a general "Electrical Fault" message to something more specific, and 2) why won't my car start? More background: the reason I switched out the battery was because I had this same fault. I found that the battery was new but only 730CCA, so I thought that might be the cause of the issue.

Thanks for any insight offered!

You will need a 'reader' capable of communicating with ALL modules on all networks.

There is a module on some network wanting to tell you 'where it hurts'.

Yes, but I have to get it started to take to my mechanic who has one. However, is there a reader you would recommend?

I can't recommend anything since I worked at the dealer and have accumulated WDS and IDS over the years.(dealer diagnostic computers)

Some body comes to you with diagnostics or you get a flatbed to transport the car to a shop.(pick-your-pick)
