Genlteman,
Just one more note, when I try and use my Autel diagnostic tool, it indicates that it cannot connect to system. Just says "error connecting to system". Would that possibly indicate my ECM or another module would be suspect?
Thank you all again,
Mike

That is a very common issue with modern Autel scan tools. For some reason, their software does not support the X100 or X308 well. I have six or seven Autel scan tools, including their previous top model, but I keep an old Launch CReader for use on my X100 and X308. An inexpensive ELM327 OBDII adapter along with the Torque Pro (Android) or DashCommand (iPhone) app for your phone can read the Powertrain (P-prefix) codes. I also have the Jaguar IDS/SDD system, but rarely use it because it is so painfully slow. If you have another vehicle you can test your Autel on, you may find that it works just fine.

Hello all,
Wanted to let you know the resolving of the issue. Prior to this issue popping up, I had completely removed my interior components in order to renew the top hydraulic system including hoses and all mechanisms. I also recolored the carpet and rebuilt a few more trim components . I replaced all the components snd I felt I had reconnected all plugs and wiring components. I have some severe spinal damage which also affects my left arm and hand, don't have much strength in them and when I reinstalled the radio plug which has about 24 feed wires and a locking cam mechanism. I apparently had pushed it in just far enough the it temporarily made contacts with the internal pins. I thought I had locked the cam in place but it just went into the locked position but was not locked. After we drove the car for a few weeks the vibration partially disconnected the plug and hence all my bizarre issues. I just finished reinstalling the center console to day and made sure the cam locked in place. There isn't much room to work with and I think that added to my inability to lock in place the first time. All issues are now resolved.
I am very grateful to all the suggestions this forum and offered. All is good now and hopefully if anyone removes their center console and radio just be sure that cam lock is actually in place.
Much appreciated ,
Mike
