I'm considering adding some form of rust proofing to my '03 XK8 and would prefer to go with some type of electronic unit such as RS-5 Home

The manufacturer claims that the product is safe for any vehicle electronics, however since Jags seems to be a bit different than other vehicles in some regards, I thought I should ask here first Does anyone know if this might cause a problem?

I think electronic rustproofing is dubious at best. The XK8 already has zinc phosphate coated panels, so I think you are pretty good to go for rust-proofing.

 

I understand that the efficacy of this type of system is a controversy for some people, I really don't want to wade into that.

I just wondered if anyone has used something of this nature on the XK8/R and can confirm that it's safe with the electronic systems.
