Engine Serial Number Location

I did a search of the forum and did not find anything so if the answer is out there I apologize...

Does anyone have a picture or diagram of where the engine serial number is located?

The easiest place to read the engine serial number is on the computer terminal at you local Jaguar dealer with the VIN as input. It is stamped on a milled area near the water pump but I defy you to read it.

Early engines have it at the left front top of the block and the later engines are stamped on the left side near the engine mount bracket.

I don't remember when the location changed.
