Just wondering if i can hook a aftermarket amp to the factory stereo?

 

Yes you can.

You can tap into the leads in the boot, right before it goes to the factory amp.

I had mine done in that manner, until I eventually decided to do the whole deck and system.

workoutmain, you can get the wiring diagram by downloading the JTIS cd, its in a total separate electrical section of the disc. But, necessary for all DIY owners of these cars.

Deon, the amp is in the boot, on the right hand side (passenger), behind the carpeting on the side. Just remove the tail lamp back housing, remove the battery cover from the floor, then simply pull out the carpet. If you have a CD player, it back there with it.
