What was the ORIGINAL tire brand on a 98 XK8?

The Vehicle Care Handbook only lists 1 tyre/wheel option for your car. That is, with the 17 inch Revolver wheels, it lists:

• Pirelli P Zero 245/50 ZR 17 99 Y Asimmetrico

However, it also recommends the following winter tyre:

• Pirelli Winter 210 Performance M+S 255/45 R 17

In later years, Jaguar fitted the 18 inch wheels with Continental SportContact, the 20s were fitted with the same Pirellis as the 17s, but in a staggered arrangement and using the Direzzional instead of the Asimmetrico variant for the fronts. All of the previously mentioned tires are outdated, and by today's standards, much better tires can be fitted. I don't recommend the factory tires if you are in the market to buy new tires for your XK8.
