Black is my last choice, exterior or interior. Gray and silver are also not my cup of tea.

I'm window shopping for a 2013 to 2015 XK on CarGurus and black is by far the most popular color there. I love the tan (or whatever it's called) interiors.

I like my triple black, but like the one poster, I would prefer non-metallic. I like the variety of texture and color interior, which feels rich, but the tan to me doesn.t age well. I like the black best. Some grey is good too. My favourite exterior color available on 97,98 is the aqua.

Carley, I don't care if you don't like "Black" and I sure don't care what your late Mother used to say! And just because you stuck a S/C on a 98 XK8 doesn't make it an XKR either! Other people have opinions also!!

Wow, someone necroposted on a thread I made 7 years ago... Makes you realize that Jaguar ownership is addictive.

Giandanielxk8...

I'm so tired of these old Threads showing up....when I came in it was on 1/31/2020.....then is Carley guy from Scotland (probably one of my Scottish ancestor's) had to bring-up the fact that he didn't like Black......You know, who cares if you don't like something? That's your opinion and no one cares what your opinions are.....Anyway,, I just thought I would let him know what I thought.....and that's what I have to say about that...….

Yeah, about the only old thread I really ever want to see pop up is Avos' twin screw supercharger, and only if he says he is again going to make another production run.

Btw, I bought and installed the crystal clear side repeaters and clear front reflectors to replace the amber parts as per your suggestion. The Jag looks quite updated with the new look.

It would be awesome to see that and yet devastating if you do so before I am out of dental school and could afford it. (Hint: I’ve got 1.5 years of dental school left.)

Default Favorite color combos?

I have an XK8 in metallic blue with an ivory interior, which I think is the best color combination (and so does my Jaguar mechanic) before the metallic green was introduced.

My dad had a late X100 XKR in metallic green with a tan top and interior, a little darker than my car’s and also quite nice.

EDIT: my mistake, I meant to reply to the existing thread on my phone, sorry! (I've moved it - GGG)

Sorry if I upset you saying I don't like black Jaguars, it wasn't my intention to cause offence. If you notice my post had a winking smiley at the end as it was said tongue in cheek.Perhaps it would have been better if you replied with a witty comment instead of flying off the handle again like you did once before when that girl posted a picture of her X150 in our forum by mistake.
A couple of points to bring up.
My car is and has always been an XKR. So I don't know what you are on about with the SC on an XK8.
My username is CaleyThistle, not Carley. This could be an autocorrect or typo problem eh BC Pric ?
Then after your post you went like a telltale schoolboy to your teacher (Giandanielxk8) saying a naughty boy says he doesn't like black cars and you're not happy about it! That did make me chuckle.
At the end of the day, life is too short so please smile.

Best regards

CaleyThistle.

Billy - chill - this whole thread is an opinion based thread - so he doesn't like black - deal with it and move on

Here’s one picture I snapped real quick when I arrived at my girlfriend’s apartment.

Puerto Rico,

Now that really looks great! As a matter of fact, I've never seen those Side-Marker Lens before....Where did you get them? They're a lot better looking than mine...I want a set of those..

I've not seen your Coupe in some time and didn't know you had taken the Side Moldings off and installed the lower side Moldings....They really look good! Now all you need to do is work on a convex Grill....and you will have it!

I didn’t do any of that. The 2004 cars came from the factory without the door side moldings and a previous owner installed the 2005 rocker panels.

I’m not entirely sold on the full convex grill. I really like the 3 piece mesh grill my car came stock with.

The side marker lens I got from eBay seller 8ru.

When I bought them, these were the last ones he had in stock.

Giandanialxk8,

You sure have a beautiful looking car. Work permitting I will be staying at the La Concha for a few days
at the end of February and again at the end of March on my yearly "get the hell out of the snow" tour.
Maybe I'll be lucky enough to see it in real life.

It could happen. That’s a beautiful hotel! I hope you can enjoy the island.

Well, I have the Pacific Blue with Dove (Grey) interior and I couldn't be happier. The blue in any light is stunning and a real head turner. Funny thing is I have a Triumph Bonneville that I had before buying my XK8. Guess, what color it is? Pacific Blue! The paint code is an exact match so I only need one touch up paint for both. Funny how the universe works sometimes.

This thread reminds me of a saying I've used for years.

You can pick your friends but, not the color of your used car...

Cheers all!
