Default That feeling again!

As well as going through the trauma of changing my secondary tensioners last week I gave the car a major service. After nearly two weeks of stress money and jobs I finally dropped her back on the ground yesterday. Today I jumped in and took her for a cautious run round for the first time in months. As I pulled in to top up with fuel I got a nasty whiff of oil burning. After a quick look over I realised it was a little spillage burning off. I went for a run round and everything was ok. Phew. Parked her up on the drive ready for a visit to the paint shop tomorrow to assess some minor blips. That’s when it started. I kept finding myself looking out of the window admiring her. !! All afternoon up and down in and out like a love struck teenager. Never mind the e type , to me these are the most beautiful car ever made. Boy am I lucky. Lol

I've been drooling over Jaguar cars since my early teens. It is an addiction. IMO, the E-type has the edge, but...

...there is no known cure.

I fell in love with the then-latest model, the XK-150, when I was in high school and have been head over heals in love with Jaguars ever since. I eventually owned a 1960 XK-150 FHC through grad school and beyond. I suffered Jagless--alas!@--for nearly 40 years after selling my 150 but eventually, nearly four years ago, managed to acquire a 2006 XK8 coupe and love it oh-so dearly. It's currently trapped in my garage due to my underground utility project with a trench across my driveway. I had the garage open today, to collect parts for the project, and--as always--swooned at the sight of my Jag. I'd love to add other Jaguars to my "stable" but don't foresee when or if that will be realistic. Meanwhile, I feel quite lucky to have this one!

PS Brinny: On what Jag were you doing tensioners? I see your signature list of Jags is all XJS. This is an XK-8 forum...
