An extra bit I found out, by accident was that this connector has an extra "accessory on" wire. Its on the bottom row under the 12v switched and the mute wire. This "accessory on" is only active when the engine is running, and turns off with engine. I found the old Nexxia SOT-126 uses this wire, instead of the 12 switched. So whatever is using that wire only works with engine on. Just in case anyone wants to adjust theirs.

The pin outs and connector do change depending upon the year. There are many threads on this.

They do and I've posted this summary about the earlier 10-Way and 14-Way ones a few times.

Worth adding again and putting a link to this thread in the FAQ 'HOW TO' thread so we have all the information in one place.

It's under Factory Phone.

Default 2001 jaguar xk8 coupe connector

Anybody able to help decipher these? I'm trying to power an aftermarket Bluetooth system with 12V ignition switched power and a clean ground, but can't seem to match up the pins on these connectors to any charts I can find.

Thank you for any help!

The attached Electrical Guide for your car might help.

If you are looking for the phone connector that this thread is about, then that isn't it.

If your car doesn't have the OEM phone kit, the yellow connector won't be connected to anything. If it does have the phone kit, it will be plugged in to another flying connector (not plugged into a module). The wire colours you want are as described at the start of this thread.
