Default Finally got it!

After roughly a year of looking at a bunch of X100 XKs, finally found one that is spot on! A one woman owner since new, late 1998 XKR. Previous owner's husband had a good deal of work done to her, including metal tensioners, new water pump, gearbox servicing, changing the supercharger oil, stainless steel back boxes and a long long service history full of much more!

A few small things I'd like to address like top mounts and some squeaks here and there, but overall a great car. All help would be appreciated.

Congratulations!

I'm also prepared to wait that long to find mine and it's definitely looking like it will take time. I guess they are also a bit rare in Greece too? Here they are definitely not a common sight by any stretch of the word.

Here she is, blue with tan interior, really a beauty. They are very rare around here. Especially the XKR x100.

Congrats on the find/purchase.

I did not know what "stainless steel back boxes" were.
Had to Google it.

Not exactly as the linked picture, I think it has original tips, just the mufflers/backboxes have been changed. Thanks!

Thanks Peter, I don't think so, mine is slightly lighter than your car, same alloy wheels though. Would be interesting to know what colour she is, I think the interior is oatmeal. Beautiful XJ by the way!

Look for the manufacturer's label on the LH door pillar:

Finally got it!-paint.jpg

The 3-Letter Paint and Trim codes identify the precise colours.
