So, I am installing my RGB -Video converter in the Trunk/Boot, whatever you want to call it. Looks like a mess in the picture, but I wanted to test before I do final wiring. I tested with two cameras - Front and Rear and it works great. Now I get the Leaper and Clock on the display and can switch between cameras on demand - or have rear camera on automatic in reverse. The converter has additional inputs if, down the line, I want to do something with Navigation. Lifting the Power Amp about 5mm with four nylon spacers, the converter fits nicely in the stack between the Nav Unit and the Power Amp. Temperature should not be a problem with the addition and it is a great location for wiring the RGB connections
Now, my question is: Is there a feed through somewhere on the fire wall to get a Video cable from the front camera in to the passenger side of the compartment. Once there, I can easily get it to the trunk.
I guess my other option is to run it under the car with some kind of mechanical protection??? Looking for suggestions!!
Nalle, maybe check out Steve, the Jag Wrangler's, website. He may have published a trick to get the oil pressure mechanics into the cockpit with that part of his RealGuage.

See step 37 & following on installing oil pressure sensor -- it shows how to feed wire through fire wall.
Ray,
Thanks! I have now saved a copy of the file for reference. I installed the rear view camera this weekend and it is working great on the Nav display. Still have the front camera to do. Currently debating if I should do it thru the firewall or just run it underneath. I have run Ethernet cables on the frame of my motorhome and it is still working fine after 10 years. Since I have to go from the front grill and all the way back to the trunk, a video cable underneath with some kind of protection might be easier.
