I am new to the Jaguar world, but the car is an awesome ride, but I didn't have to tell you that.
My top works fine. However, lately my rear windows initially took turns staying up when they should have gone down, but after last nights cruise it appears they both want to stay up with the top down. My fluid level is correct,(I added some this morning) and I have cycled it several times with no success. Any help?

The windows are not controlled by the roof hydraulics but by the ECU trying to remember where the top cycle has got to.
Being English it is easily distracted by pretty women etc and can get out of sequence leading to what is technically called the 'Grand Old Duke of York syndrome'.
With the top fully closed and latched whet happens if you give the top down button a quick press?

You can try the battery reset with the roof up and locked. Reset your door windows and give it a try. There are others here with more knowledge about this, but I think your roof should not go down unless it gets the signal that the rear windows are down. Maybe something is out of sync...thus the reset.

Quater window operation
When depressing the convertible top switch for lowering the top, the body processor module sends output to two of four relays to lower the quarter windows (when raising the top, the other two relays are activated). The four relays are located in the trunk and are powered by the fuse box, also in the trunk.
Check the following fuses in the trunk fuse box; #1 fuse-5 amp; #12 fuse- 20 amp; #20 fuse-20 amp. The 20 amp fuses control the quarter window relays.

See if you can manually lower the rear windows by using the instructions in this thread to jump the relays in the trunk.

rear windows- you win
I tested all the fuses and the power to the rear windows and they all are receiving power. I attempted to jump the windows as shown in the thread but was unsuccessful. plugs number only 1-5, and the instructions call for crossing 5 and 8. I am out of ideas. Seems improbable that both window regulators went at the same time.
Will make an appt to have some help with someone who knows more than me, which will be just about anyone!!! :-)
