I've moved your question from General Tech Help to XK8/XKR forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Here you are code 26...All sounds a bit OTT to me ..just check out the passenger seat belt switch and wiring.

Disconnecting the electrical connectors underneath the seat, cleaning them with electrical contact cleaner spray, and then reconnecting them can sometimes clear these pesky airbag codes....

I thought the seat belt clip had a switch which was used for occupancy? Is there another ? What do you mean on the pillar ? B post ? Photos are always good.
My light is always out as after 10 seconds a timer shorts out the bulb.!!

Hi pistnbroke I think the 2005s have a diffrent set up ie there is no seat postion sensor on the bottom rail there are 3 occupancy sensors 1 on the post between windscreen & door my problem . 1 over head were the internal lights are . 1 Just behind the passenger seat After replacing the weight sensor in the passenger seat without cure .Went to see a independent Jag man worked it out in 30 mins Andrew Lindsay Northern Ireland
