flat battery
The engine compartment fuse block has a stud with a rubber cover supplying 12v to the fuses. Connect a battery charger to the stud and a good ground. That should give you enough to gain access to the battery.
thanks Fred, have located the stud, i take it i attach the live to this but what do you mean by a good ground/ do i attach other lead to body wing or what? Also when both connected can i charge battery fully here or do i need access to battery?
+12v ( or as you said "live") to the stud.
A good ground is the heat shield just below , between engine and chassis.
You can charge the battery this way, or just use the power to open the trunk (boot).

Many thanks Fred all charged up and running, had to reset windows but no prob. Take for run tomorrow to give good charge. Not been used for 5 weeks is that enough to flatten battery?
