Flat battery and alarm

If the battery is totally flat, there is nothing to power the alarm sounder.
Hoping that the luggage compartment lock works to allow you to get to the battery is a bigger worry. These often seize up because they are so rarely used.
I see from your posts that you had this same problem in 2008.
