Hi. I was getting a squeek from the front drivers side and the garage showed me under the car and when he pulled on the anti roll bar you could hear it squeek and see the anti roll bar moving about so he said i needed to replace the bushes and stabilizer links either end. So i did. And on my test drive after a few hours fiddling about i still got the squeek!!!!!!!!!

Any other common places to check. It sounds like the noise is coming from thedrivers side only when i go over a bump in the road and also if i am cornering fast i can hear it. Soooo annoying after replacing what you think is the problem

 

Check your suspension top mounting bush - they make a sound like birdsong when they are going out. If the shock absorber top bolt is off centre chances are that's the problem. If your car is a convertible then the cross braces under the bonnet can also work loose and make a similar sound.

 

Its not that off center so i dont think its that because if i bounce on that corner it doesnt squeek. I was sure it was the arb bushes or links. Should i have used grease when installing the bushes?

 

I use a little smear of silicone grease on the contact areas, no big build up to attract dirt.

Anyone doing this job here are the torque settings

Anti roll bar bushes 22-28nm
Stabilizer link ball joint 60-80nm
Stabilizer link bush 39-55nm
