Default Front Bumper Cover Replacement Question

I am replacing Part No. 13 - the bumper's bumper covers, on my '03 XK8 (both sides) and was wondering how many No. 14s to I need to complete the job? The dealer removed the front license plate bracket, and it was screwed into these covers for a mount. No more front plate, so cleaning up the front end.

Thanks in advance!

PS, I tried to remove one of the bumper covers, and found it very secure. Anybody have a 'step by step' process for pulling these off and replacing them?

Huge help J-genius! I coudn't fit twenty on the both of them, so perhaps you're mistaken what part I am changing. No. 13s...that's it. However, it is listed under the part as a fastener, so perhaps i'll order a couple, just in case.

couldnt find it, however, when you remove the fir tree clip (open hood and look down) I think you will find it comes right off. pull from the top and it will come loose at bottom. I think. Anyway....take the clip out first.

Yeah those hold the cover on, I was talking about opening the hood and looking down at the bumper buffers or whatever you call them. You can see the fir trees from the top. Easy to get off. 2 on each one I guess.

You mean they LOOK like fir trees when they aren't installed. I get it now. I found them, i can actually pry them all u from the front, and the bumper buffers (covers) actually snap onto the bumper from underneath. Eazy Sneezy...should have the parts early next week. Only $165 for both covers and some fasteners (fjt's fir trees), shipped. I hope they all are the charcoal color and I don't have to paint anything. Thanks for the help, i'll document repairs and post when finished.

Jag-genious, looks like my engine bay is missing that part you showed in that attachment. I am not missing it too much however.

Here is what mine looks like, and a close up above the horns...where that cover should be.

Now that i look at that and my pic, what would removing all of those screws/fasteners accomplish? bumper cover removal? lol I think I can do this job without removing the whole cover.

I finally got the bumper cover covers for the lower grille, but they came unpainted a dull black, with some imperfections on it. So, off to the body shop that did my rear bumper damage that Jaguar refers all of their body work to, and $77 dollars later, they were painted and ready to install.

Looks nice. I think I said above that you didn't need to take off bumper cover to do that job.....lol. Also, I do not believe there is a cover where you showed the horns. I haven't had to take anything off from there before.

Reading back...I didnt say the bumper didnt have to come off...just that you could open the hood and look down to see the clips.
Glad it all worked out for you. I am **** like that myself. Need to have everything spotless.
